So.."little" Nicholas is doing so much these days. To sum it up, as an older gentleman at our church said recently, "You don't have any babies anymore". I know. It's sad. Nicholas is a BIG boy and is growing up fast, but he is still my baby. :) Although, the only time I really feel like I still have a baby is when I nurse him or when he'll "let" me rock him to sleep. I love being able to still snuggle up with him and kiss on his sweet chubby cheeks and fuzzy blond head. I am trying to savor every last bit of his baby-ness.
In the last month, Nicholas started doing new things. He says "uh-oh" when he drops something. He'll point up to the light and say "ight" which is about the cutest thing ever. He gets so excited about lights. He started doing what Josh named "the hulk". It's so funny! He'll scrunch up his face and put his hands out in front of him and shake. Like he's trying to get you. It's hard to describe, but it makes us laugh every time.
He is almost walking. He is cruising all around the place. He loves to be down and go! His favorite toys are still balls. He loves to throw and get them. He is definitely my most active boy! He's so different from his older brothers. A lot more aggressive. He'll crawl over to Nathanael (so innocently) and pull up on the couch where Nate is sitting. And then he'll hit him! Little stinker. I'll say "no, no, Nicholas". And Nathanael will just say "It's okay, Mom. He's just patting me". Bless him. Give him a few months and he'll be trying to tackle his brothers.
He is still such a happy baby. And very much a mama's baby right now. If I'm near, he only wants me. And if I leave the room, he'll cry. The other day I was sitting on the floor and Nate got in my lap. Well, Nicholas got jealous and started fussing and tried to crawl up in my lap too. And succeeded. Funny boy.
