Nicholas is everywhere. He wants to be down and he wants to go. He is a speed crawler. So, we basically keep him confined in the living room with his toys. He likes that for a little while, but then he gets restless and wants to try to escape and see what he can get into. He loves to play with his ball and will throw it to you and wants you to roll it back. That's fun. He's trying to pull up. He'll pull up to his knees and sometimes will put one foot up. It won't be long!
He's also very vocal. His big word right now is Mama. I love it. He says it all day long. He also tries to say ball, bye-bye and recently "Papa" while we were in Russellville. He is understanding a lot of what we say. If I say "no, no" sometimes he'll shake his head no. If I say "pat pat" he'll start patting his hand on whatever it is in front of him. He'll wave bye-bye some. He's definitely becoming his own little person. He loves books and gets excited when someone is reading to him. He also loves "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and can hardly contain himself if you sing it to him. And, sometimes when you talk to him he'll smile and cock his head to one side - such a little charmer. So much fun.
