Trip to Alabama

We got back yesterday from a short trip (Wed-Fri) to Russellville, AL to see "Grammy" and "Papa"- my in-laws :). I was a little nervous because it was Nicholas' first long car ride (about 4 hours with stops)...and he hasn't been the best traveler in the past. And, when he starts really crying...well, it's hard on everyone. Especially the big boys. So, I was a little worried. But, thank goodness- he did wonderful! The trip down was great. He got fussy and we stopped once- I fed him and changed him - and he was good for the rest of the trip. We had a great time at Grammy and Papa's house. The boys love going there. They have a big playroom upstairs with lots of toys that the boys could play with for hours. They love going outside and playing with the dogs (they have two) and exploring the house. But, the highlight of the trip was going to the lake on Papa's boat. Nicholas didn't love the life jacket though. It was a little constricting. But, he enjoyed getting in the water and splashing around! Noah and Nathanael loved swimming with Papa and Grammy and they really loved riding in the tube behind the boat. Josh water-skied and did great. He looked like a pro ...I tried water-skiing and did not look like a pro. It was a good time had by all!
