Because sometimes my boys do things so sweet it makes me want to cry. Sometimes they can drive me a little crazy too ;). But, tonight Noah did something so sweet and mature. And it warmed my heart so much.
Noah will be 6 tomorrow. I can't believe it. He has grown and matured so much this year and we are so very proud of him. I always get a little emotional around their birthdays! Anyway..about tonight. I was rocking Nicholas and about to put him in his crib when I heard the boys in their room talking. Josh had given them a bath and they were in their beds, but the light was still on. Josh had gone downstairs to finish putting together Noah's bike (big surprise for tomorrow!). Well, I heard Noah say something about that it was time to go to bed and he turned the light out (this is craziness..never happens on their own). Then it was quiet. After I put Nicholas in his bed, I went in to tell the big boys goodnight. They were just laying in their beds all snuggled down and quiet. Noah said "I went ahead and said the prayer, Mom. And, do you know what I prayed for? I prayed that Nathanael's cough would get better and that my itchies (poison ivy) would get better". Melt.my.heart. That made my day. My big almost 6 year old is really growing up and acting like such a sweet big brother. And I am so proud.
