You turned SIX years old on Easter Sunday. Wow. This past year has been the fastest one so far. And, I know that they will just keep getting faster. Because yesterday you were five. And now your six. And tomorrow you will be 20. So, I'm sorry if I hug you a little tighter and kiss you more than you like... try to understand it's just your Mama trying to hold on to her little boy. Because you are just growing up too fast.

| Wasn't this just yesterday?? |
You are growing (literally..you are getting so tall!) and maturing more and more each day. You still want to act like a little boy sometimes (and that's okay..you're six!), but sometimes I'll catch glimpses of the mature young man that you're becoming. You can be very stubborn sometimes (and give your Mama a hard time), but then you'll turn around and be so sweet and such a big helper. Sometimes you will argue and fight with your brothers, but other times you will share with them, teach them, and love on them.
You have such a great imagination. I love to watch you play. You can easily play by yourself for hours..making up stories, reading books. It's kind of amazing. You will also "build machines". You like to put things together and turn them into things (speakers, etc.). I tell your Dad that I think you're going to be an engineer. Whatever you do, I know you will be great at it.
You started Kindergarten this year and have exceeded all our expectations. Not only has your behavior been practically perfect, but you have also become much more social this year. You have made a lot of friends in your class and you seem so well liked by everyone. I think it's because you are nice and are a friend to everyone -and that's so important. And you are doing great in all your school work! You are in the top reading group at school and are doing accelerated reading. You are also doing great in Math. Numbers seem to come very natural to you. And your handwriting as improved so much! We are so proud. As long as you always try your best, that's all that matters to us.
You have become quite the artist! We were so amazed at the painting you did at school. Yours was the only one out of the kindergarten class that got special recognition. I look forward to seeing future artistic creations!
You're very spirited. You love life and laugh easily (sometimes you can't control it and it gets you in trouble..haha). You are always full of energy and we never have to guess what kind of mood your in. Because if you're happy, you're really happy and you let us know. And, if you're upset...well, you're really upset..and you make sure we know it too. But, everyday you seem to grow and show more self-control and are able to control your emotions better.
You love all your family, but Grandmama is still your best friend. It seems like no one understands you like her. You two have had a special bond since day one. It seems like you have inside jokes and can go into your own world together. It's very special to watch. I know she loves all her boys equally, but you will always have a special place in her heart.
You had a great 6th birthday! I asked you if you wanted a friend party this year and you still just wanted a small family party (which is okay by me, it's your day!). We had a small party at Opry Mills with Grammy, Papa and your cousins Addie and Grant at Opry Mills. You had a great time riding the carousel and playing in the lego store! You love your cousins. On Sunday (Easter, your actual birthday) we had a party at Grandmama and Granddaddy's after lunch. We had angry bird cupcakes that I made and you got to open your presents after the Easter egg hunt. Uncle Frank, Aunt Allyson, Colin, Tiffany and Charlotte were there too. You had a great time. Your big present was a new bicycle from your Dad and me. You can't wait to get out and ride it!
And..another milestone happened last night. You lost your first baby tooth!! It was loose, but I didn't think it was going to come out too soon. While I was at the grocery store, Dad was giving you a bath and it just came out! You thought that was so funny. I couldn't believe when I came home and saw that your tooth was gone!
