We had an amazing time in Gulf Shores, AL for Spring Break! We went with my parents and stayed at the Lighthouse condos. Such a great place! The boys were so good and had so much fun. We left Monday morning around 10:00 (big mistake to leave that late) and it was raining terribly (there were even tornado warnings that morning). Yuck. The drive down was LOOOOONG. It just seemed like it took forever. Noah and Nathanael did great traveling. They are little troopers. Nicholas? Not so much. It doesn't matter how tired that boy is..he.will.not.sleep.in.his.carseat. So, yeah. We had to stop a lot because he was fussy pants. Thankfully he would do okay after a stop to stretch our legs and take a break from the van. But, an hour or two later he would start getting upset again. Needless to say, we got to Gulf Shores around 8:30pm. Finally. The boys were so so happy to be there! Noah and Nate definitely remembered the condo from last year and were running around and squealing when we got inside. They were so cute. Nicholas was excited too! He kept saying "We go to the beach". Like he knew exactly what was going on.
The next day, the boys were up early ready to go (like 6:00am). We decided to go to the beach first. Noah and Nathanael ran right down by the water and started jumping the waves. Nicholas wasn't too sure about it, but enjoyed playing in the sand. I got a lot of cute pics. They also played in the pool. They enjoyed the kids pool and Nicholas really liked splashing in the water. Noah loves the "warm pool" (hot tub) and stayed in that some (it wasn't too hot and kids were able to get in it). That night we ate at Doc's. It was
so good. They have the best fried shrimp, fish and oysters. Yum. Everything was so yummy. Noah was so cute..he loves seafood! I couldn't believe that boy ate 3 pieces of fish! Nate on the other hand orders the same thing at every restaurant - cheeseburger and french fries. Every.time. Nicholas will try a little of everything! We had a wonderful dinner. Afterwards, we went to Dippin' dots and got treats. It was a fun evening.

The next day, it was a little cool and cloudy. The big boys got in the hot tub some and swam in the indoor pool. Mom and I took Nicholas to the beach for a little while to let him play in the sand. We had lunch and relaxed in the condo while Nate and Nicholas took a nap. Josh and I went down to the beach by ourselves some which was very relaxing and fun. Going on vacations with Grandparents is the best.

| It was chilly, so we needed jackets. But, still fun! |

That night we met up with Ted and Jane Bloodworth and JaneAnne and her kids (John was out of town for work). We ate at The Crab Trap. The restaurant is really nice with a playground for the kids. They also give the kids a bucket and shovel to take home. The kids sat together at a table and did great! Noah, Nate, Janie Grace and Adelaide sat together. Nicholas started with them, but we ended up putting him beside me (and baby Bentley) and that worked out good. It was a lot of fun catching up with old friends. JaneAnne and I have been friends since we were babies, so it's always fun getting together with her and her family. And, the kids had so much fun. Great time!

The next day was more swimming, playing and enjoying the beach. We also were able to get a lot of cool shells while we were there (there were hardly any last year). That was a lot of fun. That night, Josh and I went on a date to Cobalt's restaurant while Mom and Dad kept the boys and ordered pizza. We had the best meal and they sat us right by the water. We had a wonderful time. They also have a bakery there and we got treats to take home to the boys (yummy chocolate chip cookies). The boys were excited about those!

It looks like SO much fun! What great memories. We are going to the beach in June and I am not looking forward to the car ride with Cole. He is not a good traveler at all. Yay! Glad you had such a good time.
You never know..he may do okay. I suggest leave as early as possible (makes the drive seem not so long). What part of FL are y'all going to?
